I feel so good that, as a client of Stark & Marsh CPA LLP, your Professional and Support staff actually go out and work with the volunteers on this particular project. I realize, of course, that Stark Marsh donates to many causes but, in my opinion, GO GREEN is special in so many ways. Your energy and dedication will benefit Swift Current for many years into the future. The idea, positive message, people working together for common good, and past/present/future results rate an A+ in my records. – Joan Willliamson

Our Go Green 2018 objective is to assist in preparing our community for the Western Canada Summer Games taking place in August of 2019. We look forward to seeing you there!
Go Green began in 2009, after consultations with the City of Swift Current revealed a need for a fall clean up in and around the city. As a corporate citizen, we are committed to our environment and proudly organize this event each year. Go Green draws over 100 community participants annually, including Stark & Marsh employees and clients. As a result, Go Green has contributed to the planting of over 2,200 trees and shrubs.
Some Go Green projects include:
Stark & Marsh CPA LLP and Innovation Credit Union held the 9th Annual Go Green event September 15th 2017. Project sites were based around the preparation needed to host the 2019 Summer Games. Sites included flag court, slow pitch diamonds, BMO Courtyard, St. Pats School, Credit Union iPlex, Riverdene, Riverside, Kiwanis, and Elmwood parks, and the Gladstone tree buffer. In only one day volunteers planted 73 trees, 145 shrubs, and 500 perennials.
Our BBQ was held over the noon hour; catered by Country Hills Catering; with live music provided by Bakersfield! All proceeds raised ($525.00) at the BBQ were donated back into our community. This year’s non-profit was Southwest Crisis Services.
We’d like to thank the businesses in our community that volunteered their time; Great Plains College, Mercator Financial, Swift Current Chamber, Matrix Solutions, and the Dr. Noble Irwin Foundation. Without your commitment to our community this day wouldn’t be a possibility.
We are very proud of the work we have done and will continue to do. We are also very thankful for all the Go Green participants each and every year for making each event a success! Visit our Facebook page for photos of the day.
